Add the Global Gaming Guild feed to your Discord

Vega News episodes and WinGamingGear contest announcements, in a channel you choose.

Three steps

  1. Add the bot. Use the button below (or /discord on any Guild domain). Discord shows the Global Gaming Guild bot with its permissions pre-selected; pick your server and authorize. You need Manage Server in that server.
  2. Choose the channel. In your server, run /ggg follow channel:#your-channel, where the channel is any text or announcement channel. The bot creates a webhook named “Global Gaming Guild” there and confirms the next Vega News slot and the live or next contest.
  3. Tune it. Contest announcements are on by default. Run /ggg settings contests:off to keep only the news, /ggg status to check, and /ggg unfollow to stop.

Commands

The bot also carries the Guild's contest commands (/link, /submit, /standings, /mystatus), which work in any server it is in.

Permissions we ask for

Nothing else: the bot does not read your messages, manage roles in your server or post anywhere but the channel you picked. The webhook is the only thing it leaves behind, and /ggg unfollow removes it.

What we post

The same feed runs in the Guild's own server as #ggg-news, an announcement channel you can also follow natively from Discord's channel menu. Watch the show at YouTube or vega.news.

If a post stops arriving

If the webhook is deleted or the channel removed, the feed pauses after three failed posts. Run /ggg follow again in the channel you want and it resumes from the next episode.
